The Relive alternative Your tour as a film. Not a clip.

Relive turns your tour into a short video. Maptale turns it into a film: a flight over the real terrain, with your photos along the way and the weather of that day. You share it as a link, and it plays in any browser.

No account needed, right in the browser.

Still from the Maptale film of the Rinjani climb: the route as a line over the crater rim, the crater lake beside it, photo points along the line
Satellite imagery: Esri, Vantor, Earthstar Geographics, GIS User Community

A clip is over quickly. A film stays.

A clip

  • Your tour, condensed into a short video
  • A finished, pre-rendered video
  • Music and pace with the subscription

A film with Maptale

  • Your tour at its own pace, breaks as a time-lapse
  • A link that plays in the browser: pause, scrub back, start at any photo
  • The weather of that day: sun, clouds or rain come by themselves from the weather data of your tour
  • You set music, sounds and camera yourself in the studio

Made for tours worth telling

Cycling, running, motorbike?

Every tour with a GPS track becomes a film. Connect your Polar account directly, bring tours from Garmin, Strava or Komoot as GPX files, or record them yourself with the Android app.

Good to know

What does Maptale cost?
Nothing during the alpha. Paid options will come later. What they will look like is not decided yet. For comparison: Relive Plus costs €6.99 a month or €38.99 a year.
I have an iPhone. Does that work?
Watching and sharing works in any browser. The recording app is available for Android so far; from an iPhone you bring your tour along as a GPX file, for example from Strava or Komoot.
Can I bring my old tours along?
Yes, as a GPX file from your watch or your sports app. Upload it in the studio, add your photos, and Maptale puts each one in its place on the route.

Information as of September 2026. Relive prices and features according to relive.com/plus. Maptale is an independent project and is not affiliated with Relive. Relive is a trademark of its owner.
